Blockchain Transaction Simulator
Follow one payment from signature to confirmation. Every hash, signature and nonce here is computed for real in your browser — only the money is pretend.
?How it works
- Signature
- Proof that the owner of a wallet approved this exact transaction. Change one character and the signature no longer verifies.
- Transaction ID
- The SHA-256 hash of the transaction, used to refer to it across the network.
- Mempool
- Where valid but unconfirmed transactions wait. Miners usually take the highest fees first.
- Nonce (wallet)
- A counter on each wallet that orders its transactions and stops the same payment being replayed.
- Proof-of-work
- Miners try nonce after nonce until the block hash starts with enough zeros. Each extra zero makes it about 16 times harder.
