What ChainSources is
ChainSources is a free educational blockchain and Web3 hub. It offers structured courses, a glossary, interactive tools (a hash demonstrator and a tamper-evident blockchain demo), a verification guide, an offline assistant, and a live feed of verified articles from reputable blockchain and Web3 sources.

Common questions
The articles look out of date, or new ones aren't appearing
ChainSources refreshes its verified article feed automatically on the server, so you never need to update the app to receive new content. Each article shows its original publication date from the publisher — we never re-date an older article to make it look new, so a genuinely older piece will honestly show an older date.
- Pull down on the article list to refresh.
- Check that your device is online.
- On the website, reload the page (hold Shift while clicking reload to bypass your browser cache).
If the feed still looks stale, the "Last updated" timestamp beneath the section tells you when the server last completed a verified refresh. If that timestamp is more than a day old, please email us.
I'm offline, or the content won't load
Both apps are built to keep working without a connection:
- Courses, the glossary, the tools and the assistant are stored inside the app and always work offline.
- The article feed shows the most recent verified list already downloaded to your device. We show genuinely older verified content rather than a blank screen — and we never generate filler articles to fill the gap.
If a screen stays empty even when you're online, force-quit and reopen the app. If that doesn't resolve it, email us with your device and OS version.
An article link opens a different website
That's expected. ChainSources aggregates headlines and short excerpts from independent publishers such as the Ethereum Foundation, Bitcoin Core, Chainalysis, Trail of Bits and CoinDesk. Each item is labelled with its source, and opening it takes you to that publisher's own site to read the full article. Those sites have their own privacy policies and terms.
Switching between light and dark appearance
The iOS app follows your system appearance by default and can be set to light or dark from the More screen. The website and Android app use the ChainSources dark theme.
Text is too small, or I use VoiceOver / TalkBack
The iOS app supports Dynamic Type, so raising the text size in Settings › Display & Brightness › Text Size enlarges text throughout the app. Screens are labelled for VoiceOver. On the website, use your browser's zoom. If you hit an accessibility barrier anywhere in ChainSources, please tell us — we treat those reports as bugs.
Does ChainSources collect my data?
No. There are no accounts, no sign-up, no analytics and no advertising or tracking SDKs, and we hold no personal information about you. Some settings and the most recent article list are stored on your own device so the apps work offline. The full detail is in our Privacy Policy.
Is ChainSources financial advice?
No. ChainSources provides educational and informational content and does not provide personalized financial or investment advice. It won't tell you what to buy, sell or hold. See our Terms of Use.
ChainSources will never ask for your private key, seed phrase or wallet credentials. Any message claiming otherwise is fraudulent — please report it to us.
I'm a publisher and want an article removed
We display only a headline, a short extract and a link to your original article, always attributed to you. If you'd like an item removed or your source excluded, email us with the URL and we'll act promptly.
Reporting a bug or a content error
Please email us with as much of the following as you can:
- what you expected and what actually happened;
- the screen or page, and the article title or URL if relevant;
- your device, OS version and app version;
- a screenshot, if you have one.
Accuracy reports are a priority — if we've shown something incorrectly, we want to fix it.
