Summary: ChainSources is a free educational resource about blockchain technology. It is not financial advice, it does not tell you what to buy or sell, and the third-party articles it links to belong to their original publishers. Use it to learn, not as a basis for investment decisions.
1. Acceptance
These Terms of Use govern your use of the ChainSources website at chainsources.net, the ChainSources Android app and the ChainSources iOS app (together, the "Service"), published by HZ Technologies. By using the Service you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. Educational and informational purpose only
ChainSources exists to explain how blockchain technology works. All courses, glossary entries, interactive demonstrations, verification guidance, articles and aggregated headlines are provided for general education and information only.
3. Not financial or investment advice
ChainSources provides educational and informational content and does not provide personalized financial or investment advice.
Nothing in the Service is a recommendation, solicitation or endorsement to buy, sell or hold any digital asset, token, security or other financial instrument, nor is it tax, legal or accounting advice. We are not a broker, dealer, exchange, custodian, investment adviser or financial planner, and no content is tailored to your personal circumstances. Always do your own research and consider consulting a qualified professional who is licensed in your jurisdiction.
4. Blockchain and cryptocurrency risk
Digital assets are highly volatile and carry substantial risk, including the total loss of the amount involved. You alone are responsible for anything you do with the information you learn here. In particular, be aware that:
- prices can move sharply and unpredictably in either direction;
- blockchain transactions are generally irreversible once confirmed;
- losing a private key or seed phrase usually means permanently losing access to the assets;
- smart contracts, bridges and protocols can contain bugs or be exploited;
- the regulatory and tax treatment of digital assets differs by country and can change.
ChainSources will never ask for your private key, seed phrase or wallet credentials. Any message that appears to come from ChainSources and asks for them is fraudulent — do not respond to it.
5. Third-party content and attribution
Part of the Service aggregates headlines, short excerpts, publication dates and links from independent blockchain and Web3 publishers, protocol foundations and security research firms.
- That material is the work and property of its original publisher and is not written by ChainSources. Every item is labelled with its source and links to the original.
- We display only a headline and a short extract, and always link out to the full article on the publisher's own site.
- We do not endorse, verify the claims within, or take responsibility for third-party content, and including an article does not imply agreement with it.
- If you are a publisher and would like an item removed, contact us and we will act promptly.
6. External links
The Service links to websites we do not operate or control. We are not responsible for their content, accuracy, security or privacy practices, and following such a link is at your own risk.
7. Intellectual property
The ChainSources name, logo, interface, design and original educational material — the courses, glossary, verification guidance, interactive demonstrations and built-in assistant answers — are the property of HZ Technologies and are protected by intellectual property law. You may use them for your own personal, non-commercial learning. You may not republish, resell or redistribute them as your own work without our written permission.
All third-party trademarks, article titles and excerpts remain the property of their respective owners and are used for identification and attribution only.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service for any unlawful or fraudulent purpose;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service, its API or any related systems;
- interfere with or disrupt the Service, including by placing an unreasonable load on it or by scraping the content API in a way that degrades it for others;
- copy the original educational content in bulk for republication;
- reverse engineer the apps except to the extent that applicable law expressly permits it;
- present ChainSources content as your own, or use it to mislead others.
9. Accuracy and availability
We take real care with accuracy: aggregated articles come only from approved, reputable sources, each record is validated before publication, and nothing is invented or auto-generated. Even so, we cannot guarantee that all content is complete, current or error-free — third-party sources may themselves be wrong or may change without notice, and technology in this field moves quickly.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, timely or free of errors, and we may modify, suspend or discontinue any part of it at any time without notice.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, HZ Technologies and ChainSources will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, trading losses, investment losses, loss of data, or loss of digital assets, arising out of or connected with your use of — or inability to use — the Service, whether based in contract, tort, negligence or any other legal theory, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
11. Changes to the Service and to these terms
We may update these terms as the Service develops. The current version always appears on this page with its "Last updated" date. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated terms. We may also add, change or remove features at any time.
